Incorporates #16 (vite 5.4.21 -> 6.4.3, security fix). Unlike the coupled vite-8 + @vitejs/plugin-react-6 major bump (#2, left out separately due to an unresolved @rolldown/plugin-babel peer conflict), this is a minor-major bump on vite alone and installs/builds/lints clean against the current @vitejs/plugin-react@4.7.0. npm audit vulnerability count drops from 5 to 3 after this update. Verified: npm install, npm run build, npm run lint all clean (one pre-existing, unrelated react-hooks/exhaustive-deps warning remains).
